Mega Mane was created by Simon as a result of witnessing directly the emotional and psychological impact of poor hair health on clients at his holistic medicine clinic in Northern Ireland.
As a husband and father to two teenage daughters, he understood exactly how women feel about their hair and the trials of a 'bad hair day'.
He knew that hair can become weaker and more vulnerable to breakage through a combination of factors, including everyday styling, environmental exposure and chemical, thermal and physical stresses. Over time, these influences can contribute to the weathering of the hair fibre, affecting its strength, condition and resilience and can result in breakdown of the hair's internal fibrous protein structure.
Simon applied the knowledge and insights he had gained as a natural health practitioner to produce an expertly crafted blend of potent herbal ingredients designed to support hair health, strength and resilience from the inside out.
Horsetail extract, a natural source of bio-available silica, is combined with omega-3-rich ground Flaxseed in an easy to swallow capsule, fortifying the hair with quality nutrients that nourish and boost from within.
Featured in the Belfast Telegraph following its launch in 2016, Mega Mane soon built up a strong following throughout Northern Ireland and evidence of the supplement's success was soon obtained through an influx of written testimonials.
Subsequent to Simon's tragic passing in 2021, Mega Mane is now sold exclusively online and a new brand identity has been chosen to reflect Nature's ability to contribute to the structural integrity of each and every strand of your hair.

As husband and wife, Simon and I shared a lifelong commitment to traditional herbal medicine.
Simon's vision for Mega Mane was to create a trusted, customer-focused brand and today as Mega Mane's director, I want to preserve Simon's legacy by championing Mega Mane as an effective, pharmaceutical-free herbal supplement for those struggling with hair that is brittle, weak or refusing to grow longer.
What started as Simon's vision has become my mission - to preserve his work, honour his values and uphold our belief in natural remedies. I have recently completed a Foundation Course in Herbal Medicine, which has provided me with a solid platform for further study in the fascinating field of Phytotherapy.
