Organic Flax [Linum SP]
Flaxseed is rich in protein and a superb dietary source of amino acids necessary for the production of keratin, a tough fibrous protein made by cells in the hair follicle which gives hair its strength, shape and durability.
Flaxseed is the best plant source of Omega-3 essential fatty acids, necessary for a healthy scalp and skin barrier. These polyunsaturated fatty acids can reduce inflammation around hair follicles, a leading cause of disruption to the hair growth cycle which pushes hair prematurely into the shedding phase. Oxidative stress caused by inflammation, such as telogen effluvium, can cause many hairs to enter this shedding stage at the same time.
Lignans in Flaxseed possess anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help protect hair cells from oxidative stress, supporting strong, healthy follicles.
Horsetail Extract 4:1 [Equisetum arvense]
Equisetum arvense, or common horsetail is a type of fern which has a long history of use as a herbal remedy on account of its beneficial properties.
It is considered to be the leading plant source of silica, a natural compound which plays a significant role in the formation of the fibrous proteins, collagen and keratin.
MSM [Methyl-sulfonyl-methane]
